 Nice durable dive flagNov 26, 2007

I was surprised at how thick and tough the material is on the float, unlike the typical beach and pool inflatables, it will definitely last. This float was inflated and left to see if it lost any air for two weeks (my wife cut this test short, the flag was in the corner of my dining room) and it did not! That's impressive. I only have two improvements I'd like to see: first, the flag itself is heavy, same material as the float, and would probably keep itself extended and be more visible if it was lighter nylon. And second, the pole for the flag is a little short, so your flag is not visible over a few waves or swells. These issues are both correctable by the user easily, so I gave it 4 stars for it's durability and ease of use. 101snorkel had a great price and delivered quickly too.

Previous review nailed it on flag and "pole". Listen folks, this isn't going to help you if you stray while snorkeling. Drunks with outboards are not known for paying attention. This is a prudent thing to place, but get your head up and look if you hear a boat approaching. Never trust.

As some one else stated, the flag is very thick so it does not stay extended, Easily fixable with a wire hanger.
Lastly the flag pole does not attach to the base. it only slides in to a hole at the top. I had the flag and pole come out of the float twice with in 10 minutes of use at the beach.
I would suggest glueing it in or taping it in to the float before getting in the water because I almost lost the flag completely.
Other then that the material is very good quality and it is pretty big. if you stay in calm waters your flag will be visible!
