The best flashlight hands down!Jun 24, 2011

I have been serving in the Army for ten years now. I have bought and been issued multiple flash lights over the years. In 2006 I was given a Pelican M6. This flashlight is worth every penny! It has been dropped, thrown and stepped on, still it begs for more abuse. I am also impressed that the bulb still works even after three one year deployments. Another aspect I Like about the M6 is that the light itself gives you a nice clean picture for hundreds of feet. You will not notice any blue haze or color change with this flashlight.
Now I could go on and on about how great the M6 is but, I feel with any review you should also offer some suggested improvements.......
The case that comes with the M6 is durable, but over the years I have managed to rub the fabric apart. This is most likely due to the case rubbing on my vest and other gear. Another issue I have had is with batteries, I have used cheap ones that I could but in bulk, they do not last long. It pains me but I have found the SURE FIRE batteries are the longest lasting, I know they are $2 more a box but they are worth it.
In short I would highly recommend this flashlight, especially if you are in the military.

I used this flashlight in Iraq and it was a life saver. Other Marines had different types of lights but the Pelican was the brightest and had the longest range. The ruggidized case makes it just about indestructible. This flashlight eats batteries but if you want the best this is it.
